【Bethlehm】

「Bethlehem Records（伯利恆唱片）」這家享譽盛名的爵士廠牌是由 Gustav Wildi 在 1953 年的紐約市成立，在短短八年的歷史當中，這家公司網羅了許多當時極為優異的爵士樂手（John Coltrane、Dexter Gorden、Charles Mingus、Benney Carter）與歌手（Mel Torme、Julie London、Carmen McRae）並灌錄發行了兩百張左右的唱片。其精良的錄音製作和特殊的選曲品味，讓伯利恆唱片成為收藏者必敗的先鋒廠牌之一。

不過，伯利恆唱片在1960年轉售給國王唱片（King Records）之後，同時也讓其璀璨的歷史劃下了終止符。隨著營運結束，讓伯利恆唱片發行的黑膠唱片張張成為鑑賞級的收藏品，其稀有程度去 eBay看一下價位就可得知一二。九零年代以後，其母帶使用權（World Rights on Master Tapes）陸續被幾家美國的小型唱片廠牌取得，他們選擇性地將少部分專輯首發成CD，不過，規模最大一次的數位化是在 1999 ~ 2000 兩年當中由日本的 Toshiba-EMI 發起，以 24BIT 數位重製並發行了近半數八十張的作品。

而錯過當時這批重發片的樂迷們，日本 Victor Entertainment 自 2007 年 6 月份起，以更高規格的 K2 HD Mastering 外加仿黑膠唱片的紙板包裝分批重發這些經典錄音，各位可千萬不要再錯過了。
